His once auburn hair has started to show signs of greying, and his brown eyes have been described on more than one occasion as piercing. His uniform is typically kept neat and pressed, as befitting a man of his position. Personality & Traits

General Overview Having grown up on the lower levels of Corucscant, Davin quickly learned that life was unfair, and it's a philosophy that he has taken with him throughout his life. He is ruthless and will do whatever it takes to get ahead in life. His only loyalty is to the Emperor. His callous nature means that most people will go out of their way to avoid him, but he prefers it like this.

Because of this callous nature, many people have mistaken him for being sadistic. This is untrue. He simply knows how not to let his emotions interfere with his job.

Growing up how he did, with never knowing what might happen at any time, Davin has developed insomnia and finds it difficult to sleep more than a few hours. But he doesn't care. Sleep is for the weak. He would rather be using the time to learn something new. Whether a new skill. Or information that could one day help him rise even further.
Strengths & Weaknesses + He is ruthless. He will do whatever it takes to complete his mission.

+ He is steadfast in his loyalty to the Emperor.

- His upbringing has unfortunately left him with a rather quick temper, and it doesn't always take a lot to set him off.

- He can sometimes be paranoid that people are conspiring against him.
Ambitions To rise to the top. He doesn't want to stop at Grand Admiral. He wants to become a Grand Moff and command entire systems.
Hobbies & Interests There are very few things Davin would consider to be an interest or a hobby. However, he does enjoy reading old history books. He is an avid believer of the phrase 'Those who don't learn their history, are doomed to repeat it.'

Personal Dossier

Personal History The only thing Davin Strove knew about his father was that his mother hated him. He left shortly after Davin was born, and was never seen again. Davin was never even told his name. Anytime the topic was brought up, all his mother would say was, 'He's a worthless, good for nothing, piece of Bantha fodder.' And then promptly changed the subject.

Born on the lower levels of Coruscant, Davin was introduced to a life of crime fairly quickly. He and his brother frequently stole from unsuspecting passerby's, running away, using their knowledge of the backstreets to make a quick escape with their stolen goods. And it was a good system. Until they stole from the wrong person. At the age of 13, running away, they took what they thought was the right turn but promptly found themselves backed up against a wall. Before they could make their escape, back the way they had come, the man they had stolen from found them. It wasn't much of a fight. Davin was a scrawny kid, and his brother, although older, didn't fare much better. It was over in seconds, and when it was, Davin lay on the floor, broken ribs and blood pouring from a wound on his head. And his brother lay beside him, not moving at all.

Davin and his mother didn't even bother filing a report. They knew no one would listen. They were street rats, and as far as the police were concerned, one less street rat roaming around was a good thing.

After the incident, Zenya all but gave up on life. She lay in bed and didn't even bother getting up to eat, drink, or even use the bathroom. Davin tried to help her, but it was like all the fight had gone out of here. And within weeks, Davin was all alone. A weaker person might have laid down and joined her. But Davin refused. Life was unfair. He had always known this, but now, he was going to fight back. And make something for himself.

He spent the next few years keeping a low profile, stealing only from those he knew he could escape from. Selling whatever scrap he could find on the streets. There was always a customer wanting something. One man's garbage is another man's treasure. And it always amazed him what people on the upper levels threw out.

At the age of 18, when he finally had enough scrimped and saved away, it was time to make his escape. He sent off for an application to join one of the Naval academies. He knew his odds of getting in were low, but he had to try. It was the best way to make an escape. But, to his surprise, he was soon accepted. Whether through pity, or sheer luck, he would soon be leaving. He booked passage on the next ship out, and never looked back.

When he arrived at the academy, he was soon the source of countless derision. Most of the people in his class were legacies. Kids whose parents had money. Kids who had never struggled with anything in their lives. Kids who thought people like Davin didn't belong. He didn't care. He'd earned his spot.

The next four years weren't easy. Davin's upbringing meant that he was always going to be a bit behind. But that wasn't going to stop him. Whilst the other Cadets were sleeping, he was in the library, studying. Whilst they were out playing, he was studying. Every free second of his time was spent catching up. But it soon paid off. Four years later, Davin graduated. Sure, he wasn't top of the class. That was never going to happen. But he'd still made it.

He was soon commissioned as an Ensign and assigned to a Carrock class light cruiser. In the Security department. He spent the next 12 years moving from ship to ship. He mostly kept his head down. His background wasn't exactly a secret, and the other Officers weren't exactly quiet about their thoughts on a former Street Rat from Coruscant being with them. But it didn't matter. Whilst they tried their best to either drum him out or wait for him to slip up so they could kick him out, he filed away any and all information he could on them. He didn't know when or how, but the information would come in handy at some point.

And then, the Clone Wars began. Suddenly, Davin was no longer considered the worst thing around. Having by now received a promotion to Senior Lieutenant, he was posted to a Praetor class Battlecruiser as the Second Officer. His upbringing was no longer an issue. They just needed experienced bodies to fill positions. Assigned to the Northern Campaign Sector, he was now part of the Eleventh Army, and under the command of the Twi'lek, Jedi General Zham'sara.

The next three years were a blur of battles, death, and newfound respect. Two years into the war, he was promoted again, this time to Senior Commander, and made the Executive Officer of a new Mandator-Class Star Dreadnaught. He spent the final year of the war in the Southern Campaign Sectors, as part of the Fifteenth Army under the command of the Bothan, Jedi General Lo Krey'Lya.

He spent the next year honing his Command skills, and when the end of the war came with the issuing of Order 66, Davin was amongst the first to turn on the Jedi. A small part of him found it hard to believe, but his orders were clear. But he wasn't going to stop there. Using the information he'd gathered over his career, he made short work of any who had wronged him. Over the next few months, as the Republic Navy was reorganised into the Imperial Navy, numerous Officers mysteriously disappeared.

Over the next year, Davin followed his orders to the letter, and was soon rewarded for his loyalty with a promotion to Captain and the offer of an Executive Officer position on a new Star Destroyer.
