Personal Dossier
| Personal History | Born in the small fishing village of Droita, in the southern hemisphere of Kattada, Kriton was the first of two children for Morez and Pene. Both of his parents owned and operated a charter boat, used for fishing, swimming, diving. His first memories were from being on the boat. As he grew older, he quickly became an expert on the waters around his home. A few weeks after he turned three, his sister, Hina, was born. He quickly stepped in and helped to care for his new baby sister as best as he could. The pair would soon grow to be neigh inseperable. Throughout his primary education, Kriton did quite well. He was never the best in his class, but he was always in the top five. Two areas that he seemed to excell in were debate and military history. His teachers all believed that he would go far. How far, they had no idea. Following graduation from his advanced primary schooling, he immediately went to the nearest recruiter and enlisted in the Rebulic Navy. After taking a battery of aptitude tests, it was decided that he would serve better, as an officer. So, after tearful goodbyes with his family, he was taken to Coruscant, to begin his schooling at the Republic Navy Officer Academy. Over the bext four years, Kriton learned and grew much. He was soon elected as captain of the debate team. He was also captain of the wrestling team. He started to make many connections. Connections that he would grow and cultivate as he grew older. Upon graduation, he was second in the class, though, he was voted as both the most popular and most well liked of his peers. After being assigned to the Republic Heavy Cruiser, Percelius, he began his path of defending the Republic, from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. A little over fourteen months into his deployment, his ship engaged in a three-week prolonged running battle against a trio of Pirate Cruisers, which had been harassing local shipping traffic along the Rimma Trade Route. Finally, the battle ended, in the Thyferra system. In the last moments, which finally ended the battle, Kriton suggested to his superiors to use the moons orbiting Thyferra to box in the remaining pirates. His suggestion proved accurate and the last pirate cruiser was finally destroyed. Because of his quick thinking, Kriton was presented with both several awards, and an early promotion to Lieutenant. Soon after, he started to see more and more combat, as skirmushes with pirates increased, and, the newly formed Seperatists began to strike out. These battles would go on for nearly eight years. During that time, he would gain more awards, promotions and, more imortantly, added respect from both his superiors and his subordinates. In 22BBY, he was promted to a full commander and transferred to the newly launched, Venator class Star Destroyer, Resolute. Along with the promotion and new ship transfer, he would be placed in command of all of the vessel's offensive and defensive weaponry. He didn't have long to learn his new posting, as days later, the Clone Wars began in earnest. Over the next two years, the Resolute took part in many historic battles against the Seperatists. Unfortunately, her service life would be cut short. In 20BBY, the Battle of Sullust took place. Separatist forces, being led by Sith Assassin Asajj Ventress, attacked and crippled the Resolute, then ultimately, destroyed her. During the battle, Kriton stayed at his post, keeping Resolute's weapons firing. Several Seperatist ships were destroyed. However, during the battle, when his ship was crippled, the deck he was on was nearly obliterated. He was thrown from his station in the explosions, losing conciousness in the process. Thankfully, luck seemed to be on his side. Though he was severely injured (he would need to have his left leg and left arm replaced with cybornetic implants), he was pulled from the wreakage by a few of his people and, after being placed in a stasis pod, was quickly taken to the nearest escape pod. The pod that he was on, was one of the few that made it out, before the Resolute exploded. He awoke, four weeks later, in a Veteran's Hospital, back on Coruscant. The quick thinking of his men, in getting him into the stasis pod, ultimately saved his life. For the next eight months, he worked exceeding hard, to get back on his feet. At the end of 20BBY, he finally walked out of the hospital under his own power. Due to his injuries, Fleet Command made the decision to grant him an honorable retirement. Afterwards, he went home, to Kattada. Upon his arrival, he was given a hero's welcome by his entire home district. A few weeks into 19 BBY, the current Senator of him homeworld decided to retire. And in a unanimous grass-roots movement, he was elected as the new Senator of Kattada. Promising to work harder than he had ever before, Kriton left his homeworld again, this time, for the Republic Senate, on Coruscant. There, he fought a different war. This one, with words, as he fought to ensure his homeworld was protected and had everything its citizens required to live happy, productive lives. |
