Description		The Weapons Locker provides secure storage for the small arms and defensive equipment carried aboard the Wayfarer's Promise. Positioned on the command deck, it allows authorised crew to quickly access weapons should the vessel face boarding, piracy or another serious security threat. Reinforced racks and locked storage compartments hold the ship's collection of blaster pistols, rifles and other defensive equipment. Power packs and related supplies are stored separately, while charging points allow equipment to be checked and prepared without removing it from the compartment. Additional lockers contain protective gear and emergency security equipment that may be required when responding to an intrusion or dangerous situation elsewhere aboard ship. Access to the compartment is restricted to authorised personnel. The locker remains secured during normal operations, particularly when passengers are aboard, and the ship's internal systems record when the compartment is opened. The Wayfarer's Promise is neither a military vessel nor a dedicated combat ship, so the Weapons Locker is intended for defence rather than maintaining an extensive armoury. Its contents are sufficient to equip the crew during an emergency without sacrificing valuable shipboard space to weapons that are unlikely to be routinely required. For a vessel travelling between established trade routes, remote settlements and less reputable ports, however, the crew understands that sometimes the safest weapon is the one they hope they never need to use.
