| Description | The Holo-Communications Room provides the Wayfarer's Promise with a dedicated space for secure ship-to-ship, ship-to-surface and long-range communications. While routine traffic can be handled from the bridge, this compartment is used when privacy, signal stability or extended coordination is required. The room is built around a central holo-communications table capable of displaying three-dimensional transmissions, tactical overlays, route information and remote briefings. Surrounding consoles manage encryption, signal routing, transmission power and data integrity, while dedicated receivers allow the crew to monitor multiple channels simultaneously. Because the Wayfarer's Promise frequently operates far from reliable infrastructure, the communications systems have been upgraded and modified over time. Redundant transmitters, patched-together signal boosters and independently powered emergency systems allow the crew to maintain contact even when primary communications equipment is damaged or local networks are unreliable. Access to secure channels is restricted, and sensitive transmissions can be isolated from the rest of the ship's network when necessary. |
