| Description | The Captain's Refresher is a small private facility adjoining the Captain's Ready Room, allowing the commanding officer to remain close to the bridge during long watches or periods of sustained operations. Space aboard the Wayfarer's Promise is too valuable to waste, and the compartment reflects that philosophy. It contains only the essentials: a compact sanitation unit, washbasin, mirror, storage for basic personal supplies and a small sonic cleaning unit. Fixtures are durable and straightforward rather than luxurious, selected for reliability and ease of maintenance. Access panels allow the plumbing and environmental connections to be serviced without dismantling the compartment, while non-slip flooring and recessed fittings make the space safe to use even when the vessel is underway. The refresher is considerably smaller than the facilities attached to the Captain's Cabin on Deck 2. It exists primarily for convenience during duty shifts, particularly when circumstances make leaving the command deck impractical. Although designated for the Captain's use, it can also serve senior bridge personnel when operational requirements keep the command crew on Deck 1 for extended periods. |
